Gujarat has been a hub of trade and commerce for more than 5,000 years. Gujarat is a leader in India’s business and economic development. It is the only state with an operational International Financial Service Centre (IFSC), which has attracted numerous multinational corporations to the state.

MSMEs are an integral part of fostering community-level entrepreneurship and inclusive development. Thus, the Government has introduced Aatmanirbhar Gujarat Schemes 2022 for assistance to industries and to stimulate the growth of the MSME sector. Some major subsidy schemes are

a)    Capital Investment Subsidy - depending on the location within the state (talukas)

c)    Net SGST reimbursement to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise 
d)    EPF Reimbursement to MSMEs
e)    Assistance for Quality Certification
f)    Financial support for ZED Certification (Zero Effect, Zero Defect)

i)    Assistance for Patent Registration
j)    Assistance for saving in consumption of Energy and Water
k)    Assistance for raising Capital through SME Exchange
l)    Assistance for reimbursement of CGTMSE fees
m)    Rehabilitation of Sick enterprises
n)    Assistance for Power Connection charges
o)    Assistance in Rent to MSEs
p)    Assistance to MSME Manufacturing sector participation in the Exhibition (National and International
q)    Assistance for Environment Management
r)    Any other environment management project with the use of clean, efficient, and innovative pollution control equipment
s)    Assistance to Encourage “Green Practices and Environmental Audit to MSMEs”
t)    Any other environment management project with the use of clean, efficient, and innovative pollution control equipment
u)    Installation of an Online Continuous Stack Emission Monitoring system, and online effluent quality monitoring system with connectivity to the GPCB/CETP project
v)    Industrial building of more than 2,000 sqm built-up area which obtained green rating under IGBC/LEED or GRIHA
w)    Setting up of Environment Management System including setting up of Environment Management Laboratory
x)    Industries practising at least 50% wastewater recovery through zero liquid discharge as certified by GPCB
